elanaagain Posted February 23, 2013 Share Posted February 23, 2013 (edited) In dragon-born quest "final descent" I talk with guy and his lady friend just inside the mine and agree to get a journal / find lost guy. Go down, clear mine, find body, get journal, get sword, use sword to open magically locked door, find big black book on pedestal. "E" the book which animates me picking book up and reading it. THEN: game goes to loading screen (logo smoke, etc), music plays... and hangs here, Keeps smoking and playing music.... How do I fix this. I have almost no mods installed. Just these, and a few graphic terrain re placers installed with Wrye bash. Sky, Dawn, Dragonborn, each unofficial patch, skse (current) SkyUI and chimney smoke. Run BOSS, (current). Main quest completed.Any suggestions please? UPDATE: several other black books have worked fine. Went back to black book in 'final descent' dungeon. Same result... game hangs....Anyone know how to get info to work around this hangup? -ie quest ID / stage to set, coc to right location in Hema's Plane, etc? Please... ZeroxAlpha Posted May 3, 2013 Share Posted May 3, 2013 Hi! I found this topic searching in Google and I know is too late. I had the same problem and I resolved it. My problem was caused by iHud v 2.3. I disabled iHud and the problem was fixed: After read the book the next scene load without problems. I hope someone find helpful. I have STEP v2.2.6, Realisitic Lighting Overhaul, Vilja, Crimson Tide, Better Sorting. Not sure what else could be causing the problem. I haven't found any other suggestions after looking on google for a while... Edit: The infinite load screen appeared with the Black Book: Winds of Change in Raven Rock Mine. I just read Black Book: Waking Dreams in the Temple of Miraak without any problems. Not sure if the remaining Black Books are going to be a problem or not. Also, I wonder if this is related to the problem others are having with fast traveling back to skyrim causing an infinite load screen.
