Lechus
Recently downloaded DDSopt and have optimized the Skyrim - Textures, DLC and high res DLC BSA's. I've repacked the optimized non-high res DLC's into BSA's and replaced the original ones with the optimized ones. But the Skyrim - Textures and high res DLC BSA's I want to have as loose files in Skyrim/Data/Textures. Is it then safe to delete the BSA's and esp's relating to these?
FiftyTifty
I say rename the .bsa files to something else, like .bsaBACKUP, so if something goes wrong, you can just rename them back to .bsa
Lechus
Already have a backup of the entire vanilla Skyrim folder (and ini's) so can copy from there if needed.I'm no expert in any of this, just following the DDSopt guide on STEP, but if I understand correctly (the guide doesn't mention any of this), by extracting the texture (or any?) BSA's into loose files in the Data folder, the Skyrim - Textures and high res DLC BSA's (and high res DLC esp's) would become redundant.
