scarycave
Ok, so a few days ago I made a little topic about these dog things. I finally made up my mind what to do with them now - I'm going to make some leveled lists, and a small band of tribal worshipers that you can join (though for now, I'm focusing on the lists - I have some other mods I want to focus on first when I can for Oblivion). At least with the leveled-lists I should be able to get it done pretty quick. So I need some suggestions, or I guess some people to bounce the idea off of.Like where should they appear, what level, stuff like that. For starters I'll post some stuff right now - and you can tell me what you think. Leveled List:-Level 5: Lesser Waste Wolf -Level 11: Waste Wolf -Level 20: Greater Waste Wolf-Level 30: Albino Waste Wolf(Count 1-4, each one has a 50% chance of appearing.) Are you importing wolf meshes & textures? Location suggestions: South of Republic of Dave / East of grisly diner South west of Oasis South east of Little Lamplite near the campground. Maybe in the area south of the drive in near the bottom of the map. Don't put them in the city itself. Or on the caravan routes. (just suggestions) And make the White Wolf level 20. That would be cool!
scarycave
The wolves are pretty much a modified vicious dog texture to fit on the dog-meat model with an added mesh that lets them get the tufts of hair to give them the wild appearance the vicious dogs have. They also have red eyes but I might save that for the Albino variant.I think near Oasis might be a good spot to try, I was also thinking about putting some outside the entrance to Rockopolis. The reason why I have the Albinos appear at 30 because I was planning to make them like the Albino scorpions, a really powerful variant.Though considering they are pack animals it might be a good idea to lower their levels. Makski
Can you build a group like 2-3 Lesser Wolves with 1-2 Greater wolves? Kinda like a 'real life' pack has an alpha male & female? oh, don't worry about the levels, I use FWE & have it spawn everything at all levels. Ran into an Enclave patrol at lvl 5 & SM overlords @ lvl 10. No worrys as long as I keep Charon loaded w/ammo! :woot:
AlbinoPolarBear
I think you should make them spawn in the north (Raven Rock, Oasis, Old Olney, Republic of Dave etc.).Also, you should try to make them look something like this (if you can):http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7038/6877348559_b4c4cf2f46_z.jpgThat's the Waste Wolf from the Fallout 3 concept art. scarycave
Wow, I've seen those pics before. I don't think I could get them to look like that though, I'm not good with Blender. I could definitely modify the textures a bit to get them to look more like that in Photoshop, I think the burn tool could work nicely. The eyes should be simple to make, though looking at these for some reason makes me want to try to get their eyes some kind of "glowing" effect. scarycave
Did a bit of work on the texture, I still have to do the hair but I the skin seems a bit more fitting.I also set the glossiness for the eyes to 100, haven't seen what it does, but I'm hoping it will absorb the lights that flash on them making them "glow". Still wish I could get some hair around the face like a mane.I might save these eyes for the more powerful ones, maybe as they get older, they start losing their eye sight.http://i.imgur.com/NdsSQDW.pngCan't decide if I ever make a wolf companion which eye I would use, but I definitely might make another Dogmeat skin mod, I think this would look nice for an evil companion. AlbinoPolarBear
Looks good. Add some scars on its side and on the nose and maybe some more hair like in the concept art. And I think you should use the "normal" dog mesh instead of the vicious dog mesh. It looks more wolf-like IMO.
scarycave
It is the normal dog mesh, just kind of hard to see it from this angle. I found a way to get the vicious dogs hair to appear on the normal dog.
AlbinoPolarBear
Oh, okay. You should make the eyes look similar to the Yao Guai's eyes. Right now they just look pure white and unrealistic.
