Game crashes in Character Creation

Hi ... :happy:

I've just performed a clan install of all my mods + uprades to the older ones.

For some reason it keeps crashing(CTD's) at the character creation screen (expecially using the "showracemenu" command) when I try to change to female from male (I think once it CTD's when I was scrolling trough the male races very fast).

The only time it works is when using the custom Lunari race .. THAT , works just fine for some reason (my guess is because it has standalone resources - meshes and textures - so no conflict with anything).

 

What i've tried so far: :ermm:

1. Disabled new mods + older ones(lots of different combinations) that might have anything to do with character creation , player and NPC's ... exept textures witch I installed manually (most of them anyway , as the ones with the scripted installer were installed using Nexus Mod Manager ) ...

2. Removed (and restored after) all sorts of meshes that affected characters and NPC's ...

3. Change load order of certain mods (just in case BOSS was making fun of me and my load order) ... nothing.

 

Before you ask , no :cool: , I've never used Wrye Bash because I never needed to :biggrin: .. never had any problems with mods/quests (expect VERY RARE CTD's in VERY RARE cases) that were either non-existant , minor or unfixable by disabling a mod or two ...

I have minimized my CTDs and Freezes during character creation/modification by using the following 3 mods. I have several hundered warpaints, tons of hair options, tons of eye options, faces available for vanilla as well as 2 custom playable races I have installed. There is a working slider for height, breast size, head size, muslce size and full color spectrum for about any hair, warpaint and skin tones possible. RIng of change mod puts you in a "studio" lit environment where you can use a skill called changerace thru the "ShowRaceMenu" mod and with expired's racemenu you have a ton of options not normally available to you.

Thank you both (but jasmerd especially for the link to those mods). :kiss:

I'm not sure if it was because of the Apachii Sky Hair or the sheer number of mods i've got installed (140+ according to BOSS ) causing conflicts .. Its hard to believe it was because of performance as I have a pretty beefy PC (the best and highest rez textures installed + enb and still getting 50+ constant fps - with occasional stuttering(... fps drop ?) but that happens with or without the ENB activated and lasts less than half a second -) but i've finally fixed the problem with character chaning.

 

I've checked (in more detail) the FAQ sections for Apachii Sky Hair but other than finding a few more hair packs that were not in the main mod(a few more standalone female and male hairs) but most of those fixes were for lower end PC's and they didn't help me too much. :geek:

 

What finaly did the trick was the ShowRaceMenu Alternative and Ring of Change mods. With these installed everything seems to work fine. Changed male -> female -> male (and went trough presets) with all the races 10-20 times and 0 CTD's now. :devil:

 

Now ... if I can just get my ENB to look perfect both during the day & night i'd be a happy camper :cool:
