Help Combining a Custom Voice with a Custom Race?

This is the custom race I'm using

Searching here, I have heard of two possible ways to add a custom voice to a custom race:

 

 

Love this! I posted a reply below asking if the "all races" variant would work with custom races (COTR in my case), but kind of figured it out for myself if anyone needs it.

It seems like the human male (or human female) is the default voice for custom races, so I downloaded the human male voice version from Bethesda dot net for my COTR elf and it worked.

 

And one for Oldrim

 

 

HOW TO MAKE THIS WORK FOR OTHER RACES AND CUSTOM RACES:

1. Download this mod manually

2. Extract the BSA (you need a bsa extracter, just google it)

3. Put all the files in a new folder

4. Rename that folder to "maleeventoned" because that's the type of voice all "human" races in Skyrim use (Nord, Breton, Imperial etc)

4.5 If you want this voice for a female you just rename it to the female counterpart, which is "femaleeventoned".

5. Copy the folder with all the sound files to Skyrim/Data/Sound/Voice/Skyrim.esm. There will already be an existing folder with the same name, overwrite it!

6. That's it, you're done! Now go into your game and test it out!

I've tried both yet I still only hear default male voice for my custom race.

Can anybody tell me if I'm just doing something wrong and what it is? I don't have any other mods installed except the prerequisites for this.

Could it be something about the custom race that is preventing these methods from working?
