resetting exterior cells.

I need to reset the position of certain stuff like woodblocks and lumber piles (next to lakeview manor)

My mod moves these items to another position and it works ingame only if you havnt bought the property yet, loading a savegame where you already have the property makes these certain items stuck in a fixed position.

How do i reset exterior cells, or any other way to resolve this?

I'm new to modding so I'm not 100% sure, but seeing as no-ones replied I thought i'd chime in.

In the data tab (where you load up you esp's etc) click on your .esp. Now go into the "details" tab. Here is everything that your mod has edited. The details tab starts off in the order you need to find the objects related to the cell.

Scroll down until you find the cell (its helps to know the co-ordinates if the cell doesn't have a name) When you find the objects, confirm they are the objects with the "Form ID". When your totally sure press delete with it selected in the details tab. It'll flag "Ignore". No changes will be made until you save your .esp so if you make a mistake you can toggle the ignore off.

This should reset it back to the way it was before you edited it.

Before trying this out though I suggest you research it, like I said I'm new to modding. Run a search for "Creation Kit Mod Cleaning" or something.

Hope this helps

thx for the reply but thats not what i mean.

Im moving items like the lumber log pile next to lakeview manor, but this stuff gets saved into your savegame meaning that if you load my mod after you already bought that property it will not move.

If you bought the property after installing my mod it will move, but after uninstalling my mod it will not go back to its original position.

All of this is due to the fact that for some reason it gets permanently saved into your savegame.

So for now all that seems to help me with this problem is outright deleting the lumber logs, the collision marker, activation marker and X marker, but that is bad since it can cause CTD or whatever.

So if there is a way to reset an exterior cell so that all items like these have to come back "clean" then people can install and uninstall my mod without problems.

I dont think he wanted to clean his mod, but maybe moved something in the mod and has already been to the cell. the original position of the item is now in the save and thus ignores the move in the esp. What he wants is a worldspace version of the resetinterior console command.

maybe ResetReference on it. Then again you can use SetPos to move it to the correct location.

Also you can make a small mod that deletes the item. enter the cell with that mod running, save and start again without the mod and the game will add the item back into the game in the new location.

"What he wants is a worldspace version of the resetinterior console command."

yes indeed.

ResetReference doesnt do anything, not even after saving and loading that save.

SetPos results in console saying "cannot be moved"

Deleting the item makes it be deleted forever, even after uninstalling the mod.

Ive tried so many things and none seem to work, once the cell is loaded it gets saved in your savegame and i have no idea on how to reset those items.

Maybe someone can give me a good modders name that does landscaping and stuff, hopefully he will know an answer if i send him a message.

30 something times of using the wait or sleep function for 24 hours each time inside an interior cell will reset the exterior cells. That should move it. cells take about 30 or more days to reset as long as you never enter the cell for the duration of time.
