IsharaMeradin
After following the UESP wiki and making sure that I picked the items that would give me the Oblivion Walker achievement, I did not get it. I have the following items in no particular order:1 -- Dawnbreaker2 -- Spellbinder3 --Ebony Blade4 --Masque of Clavicus Vile5 --Ring of Namira6 --Saviors Hide7 --Volendrung8 --Skull of Corruption9 --Sanguine Rose10 --Wabajack11 --Ebony Mail12 --Mace of Molag Bal13 --Mehrunes' Razor14 --The Black Star15 -- Oghma Infinium Upon further inspection into these quests there is a call to a function which increases the daedric artifact count upon reciept of the item. The Oghma Infinium does not include such a call when it is picked up during the quest or when it is read. If the Oghma Infinium once added to the achievement, it seems to no longer do so. That said the only way to obtain the oblivion walker achievement that I can see is to utilize what many consider as an exploit and get both the Saviors Hide AND the Ring of Hircine. Consoling the Ring of Hircine in does not help, it has to be obtained via the quest. My current game is screwed but now I know for future sessions (and with this post, you know too)
Rukerius
Nevermind the skeleton key, you should regress to a save before the Savior's Hide and obtain both of Hircine's artifacts. Edited February 26, 2013 by Rukerius
IsharaMeradin
Nevermind the skeleton key, you should regress to a save before the Savior's Hide and obtain both of Hircine's artifacts.I never said anything about the skeleton key. I know that isn't one of the artifacts that is included in the achievement. Regressing to a save prior to obtaining the Savior's Hide is out of the question. While it could in theory be done, it would be no better than completely starting the game over as so much as happened since then. The Savior's Hide was one of the first if not the first artifact received. I'm not concerned about not having gotten the achievement. I was concerned about why I did not get it when according to the wiki's I should have. I delved and discovered why. The Oghma Infinium has been assumed to be one of the artifacts that is included. It is not. That is why I failed and that is why many people fail to get the achievement. In fact, I will go and attempt to change the wiki to reflect this. Daedric artifacts which count are those which you can keep and use as much as you want after having obtained them. You cannot keep and reuse the Oghma Infinium tho you do keep it's benefits of reading the one time. As a test to prove my theories correct, I applied the "missing" script line to the Oghma Infinium quest stage and when I re-did that portion (it was my last Daedric quest) I was awarded the achievement. Being Daedric quests, I do not see this as a bug that a normal play through would not award the achievement. In order to get it one must "break the rules" as it were, something which the Daedric Princes would expect before giving out such an achievement. :P
