Bethesda tried really hard to avoid using one to retain the FPS look i guess... and implemented secondary mechanics that ALMOST alleviate the need for a text box to give you textual updates regarding your status and condition in game, additionaly the world around you etc. But its not enough! I want to see text feedback describing the carnage I just caused! I want to see text feedback telling me 'I detect traps nearby!' I want to see text feedback DESCRIBING ITEMS!!!
