Need Help with Modding Tools! Please Read!

So I started modding by combining two different mods to give a neat sword a new enchantment that isn't in the vanilla game. Now I want to take it to the next level and create my own weapon from scratch.

 

I have watched a few tutorials and think I know how to do it, but the problem is, the tools that I'm told to use don't even work!!!

 

 

I was told I need:

 

Blender

GIMP

Nifskope

 

So i went to the blender site, I downloaded the latest version which is 2.66. and I got the 1.1.3 version of nifskope and already had gimp, however gimp and nifskope dont even matter, because I cant open nif files in blender!!!

 

I go to import and .nif files arent even an option! Help please?

You need to get nif scripts, you should be able to find them on sourceforge, just make sure to get the one that work with your blender version

seems theree isnt one. and sadly, they dont have a link tht supports skyrim....

I do not know much about moddeling but I have it installed and I was able to open a nif though.
