Installing textures with .dds extension doesn't work

How come this doesn't work, I used NMM and all the .dds files are in the right folders yet nothing shows up in Data Files, and in-game the textures look just as blurry as before.

Can someone get this to work??

And I can't download version 1.6 of "Skyrim HD - 2K Textures" either, it just points to version 1.5.

Any help would be appreciated.

All the folders? is there a textures folder inside the textures folder looking like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\Textures\Textures or worse having a data folder inside the textures? If there is cut and paste that last one into the data folder and allow it to merge with the exhisting textures folder.

Then again the high res HD .dds files might just be low res resized to 2048x2048 or more which would look just as bad if not worse than the originals.

The link explained how to install manualy, did you try to install it again but manualy this time?

One of the folders with .dds files is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\architecture\farmhouse

I re-installed NMM and let it install everything.

Why would a manual install be any different?

All it does is create a textures folder and drop all the .dds files into their respective subfolders.

If these mods don't show up in Data Files, how do you know what mods you've installed?

Isn't there a program that takes the .dds files and creates a .bsa file out of them?

[edit]

I'm starting to think that version 1.5 of this mod is incompatible with my version of Skyrim, which is 1.8.151.0.7.
