ShadowSurgeGaming
Hi Everyone I know this game is pretty fresh out, and also know that there were some articles alleging that the source code for WD Legion had been acquired by hackers which could open the floodgates for mods. Haven't heard anything beyond that so I figured I would post a few ideas for some general mods for the game if there is indeed a possibility of them being created. 1. AI Improvements - by this I mean better logic for some of their behaviours, fix some of the weird pathing issues like people climbing over cars/walls as the quickest route. Better stealth logic as a lot of the time people completely ignore dead bodies, QoL things like that. 2. Recruitment system logic - I get that a lot of the inclusions are for the sake of rewarding gameplay and recruitment but so much of it doesn't make a lot of sense. In-universe Dedsec must be attaining profiles on people from somewhere, and since they hack other people's systems it makes sense that Albion knows the same as they do. So in a country where owning a gun without a license is illegal, it makes little sense to have self-declared arms dealers and hitmen wandering around. If it were me I'd either make it so that only characters with a legitimate reason for owning guns actually have guns. And/or make it so that characters are labelled in a generic fashion until recruited, as who is going to announce that they're a hitman with a G36 in their back pocket? 3.Lastly I would like a mod that makes uprisings/liberations more chaotic. I've noticed that in liberated areas civilians seem more likely to fight back when being arrested, but it is only by throwing punches, likewise liberated areas seem to cull the majority of their albion presence outside of restricted areas. As a person who enjoys AI chaos and was hopeful when I watched the benchmark, I was hoping for the opposite. I would love it if areas attempting to rise up had far greater albion presence as they attempt to stamp out any rebellion. And maybe the addition of new enemy types as the areas get tougher (like the cloaker enemies that I've only seen in Blume, or the riot police that only seemed to appear in Stormzy's video). I'd also like AI to fight back more, the best I have seen in-game outside of restricted areas was a Clan Kelley gang member who just fired off a single pistol shot at a drone before sprinting off in the other direction. I kind of get that the lack of chaos is to keep the emphasis on it being a stealth game rather than an action game, but still in liberated areas where you have done all of the main objectives. And with it being a game where I have yet to see a mission that fails if you go loud, I don't see a problem in having a modded option to have a chaotic uprising. It could even fit in with the whole recruitment system in that people who get injured by Albion forces (and by extension their contacts) could either be inspired to side with Dedsec to take out their anger on Albion, or become frightened and more likely to stay out of it and side with Albion. Let me know what you think, and add any ideas you have. I know a lot of this is unlikely to ever happen but with the source code being leaked there is always hope!
