la6213
I'm thinking about making an armor set mod, but came to a problem when I finished making helmets for different race. They are already "skin wrap" and "BSDskinmodified" appropriately. One for "default" races, one for Orcs, one for Khajiit and one for Argonians. What exactly should I do next in Creation Kit, so that the game will give the race the appropriate variety? Tribunal masks (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20077) done an excellent job in this,The masks appeared in three different forms so they fit perfectly on all races.Any idea how I can do the same? Kalenidus
Not sure if you've solved this issue for yourself already, but I was looking for the same information and here is the solution. You already have the models working correctly in the Creation Kit, yes? As in, you are able to import the .nif for each model as an ArmorAddon. There must be one model for each gender/race. Male Argonian and Female Argonian, Male Khajiit and Female Khajiit and so on. To do this create an ArmorAddon for each of the races you want to have the armor, and assign the male and female models within the ArmorAddon dialogue. You only need one ArmorAddon per race. Make sure you set each race-specific ArmorAddon to only use the race you want for it, picking it out of the Race dropdown menu. There will be a list to the right called "Additional Races". Use this to add the Vampire variety for that race. As an example, for Khajiits you would select "KhajiitRace" under Race and "KhajiitRaceVampire" under Additional Races. Now you have a race-specific ArmorAddon that will only be used on Khajiit and Khajiit Vampires.I should also point out that your main ArmorAddon, the one you use for the humanoids (Nords, Bretons, Imperials, etc) should be set to "Default Race" under Race, and you should have all qualifying humanoid races selected in Additional Races. Don't forget to select Skeletons and Draugr in the Additional Races if you want those enemies to be able to equip your armor, as well as Mannequins so that you can display your armor on them. With your ArmorAddons ready, create your actual armor item, name it and give it all the properties you want. Select its World Model to display how it will show up in your inventory viewer and when its dropped in the world. And now for the key part of your question:In the Models section, tick on "Show All" and add in all the ArmorAddons you created for that piece of armor. By doing so, the armor piece now has a pool of all the needed models the game can draw from when it detects a specific race equipping your armor, making sure the right race gets the right armor model. Hope this helps! Edited May 9, 2013 by Kalenidus
