Character's face is blank with only eyeballs and teeth

I believe I have hosed this game by experimenting with additional races. So far I have messed with two including the Ashen race. The other one I have removed and didn't have this problem at all. I only started getting this after changing my race to Ashen, which is probably the cause of the issue.

Here is what I am getting on my Ashen character:

This is only affecting my current saves that I have edited the race in. I have created a new character with the same race and so far I haven't had problems.

If I use the setrace command to change myself to a vanilla race, then back to Ashen, it fixes it. However, I get the same issue when trying to change to a Nord. I realize messing with the races can botch things up but there has to be a simple fix for this right?

After fixing the face using the above method and saving, I am able to go about playing on that save and even go back and forth between other saves with no issue. However, when I quit Skyrim and reload the save from there, it happens again.

No NPCs, even Ashen followers, have this issue. It's only affecting my character and only on this save.

So in a nutshell here are the problems:

- Ashen race character's face disappears upon restarting Skyrim resulting in the above picture. Switching to another race and back fixes it for that session only
- Switching to a Nord causes the same issue except this seems to not be fixable by the above method.

Relevant information:

- I have all current DLC packs as well as the Unofficial Patches for them.
- Updated to current Skyrim version and SKSE version.
- I have ran the BOSS tool, cleaned up plugins with TES5Edit, Validated files with steam which downloaded missing files.
- I have a lot of mods/plugins and no easy way to show them, but the only thing that I can think of that can affect this is the Ashen race, UNP skinny, Nuska Real skin, No more block faces, Race Menu v1-4-5, Race plus v1-0, Race Menu Mod Plugin extender.

Also I have an issue where my character's feet have a small but noticeable gap between them and the ground. This is a small problem but if anyone has a fix for that too it would be appreciated, though I think its a problem with the Ashen race itself.

Any help with my main problem is appreciated as well. I'll keep trying different things.
