Now SKSE will not longer be detected by the game! I reinstalled it and everything yet no luck. Now what!?!? Please help, Thank you in advance The file it asked to replace is:data file\scripts\object reference.psx EDIT: Problem Resolved, read latest post. fiewiel
Copy the object reference.psx file from the skse archive into the correct directory of your skyrim install.Load the game with the skse_loader.exe which you find in your skyrim maindirectory. In the main menu open console and type getskseversion.Whats the result? BaconBatman
something along the lines of "command 'getskseversion' not available or something
chromechris
That seems odd that it asked to replace a script extender, im not sure why it would need to do that. Try removing all SKSE folders then reinstalling the thing. Make sure SKSE is located here, "common/skyrim/" Please return to let us know if it now works. Are you sure your using the SKSE loader! BaconBatman
I am completely sure I'm using the SKSE loader. I went back an reinstalled for the third time and nothing changed. Gah this is so frustrating :(
fiewiel
Can you post the directory path where the skse loader you use is stored?
BaconBatman
The directory path is:C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim
BaconBatman
Unless I'm completely mad, I'm pretty sure this is the right directory. I deleted the mod that caused this rewrite thing as well and yet still SKSE refuses to work.... am I basically doomed to never be able to use SKSE again? BaconBatman
Okay, so I simply tried running the SKSE launcher as an administrator.. strangely it worked. I guess the problem was related to the Steam Launcher opening whenever I opened the SKSE launcher. Anyway, it's good now. Thank you folks for your help, I appreciate it
