Pixelhate
I can't check my work in xEdit because a master tries to load before FalloutNV.esm. To correct that I need to change the timestamp and re-date the plugin. Could someone, please, explain the procedure to do so. Thank you.
dubiousintent
File "timestamps" are technically part of the file "attributes". So you want a tool that let's you change such attributes. Some attributes can be easily changed using the "FIle/Windows Explorer", while others (such as the timestamp) require a custom program such as the free "Attribute Changer" tool which I have used for many years. There are three "timestamps":* Created: given when the initial file is saved, and not normally changed.* Modified: updated whenever the file is saved. This is the one that is shown in the File Explorer and most navigation screens.* Accessed: updated whenever the file is "read" (as opposed to "saved") and usually only of interest to "database" and similar programs which are expecting things to possibly change between one access and another. You should usually only change the "Modified" timestamp for a plugin, as that is the one used by the game when sorting "load order". -Dubious-
Pixelhate
Thank you, Dubiousintent, for providing a solution but I didn't had to resort to it.After trying unsuccessfully to re-date with Wrye Bash (unfamiliar to me) I have been advised to update my xEdit version. That solves the issue which was GOG version missing a last modified date on the game master.
