I had some mods installed such as FWE, MMM, RHI, and FWE Combat Overhaul. After installing DarNUI Fallout 3 wouldn't let me load my saves. I start playing, I quicksave, then something happened, so I instinctively quickloaded. I then CTD'd, and ever since then I am not able to load my saves after loading up the game and the most recent save. I've uninstalled & reinstalled my mods, then the same with the entire game. I really hope this isn't the end for my PC Fallout 3 experience.... If anyone at least has a similar problem and/or a fix, PLEASE HELP!!!!

roflmao2241 - Hello!

"so I instinctively quickloaded. I then CTD'd, and ever since then I am not able to load my saves after loading up the game and the most recent save."

Sounds like you corrupted the current save. Is it all saves not working or just the most recent?

You will have a backup of your most recent save in your save folder:

Documents\My Games\Fallout3\Saves

It will have a .bak at the end like:

autosave.fos.bak

& another:

quicksave.fos.bak

You can remove the .bak & use it as a normal save to see if that works.

If that brings no joy, go back to an older save & see if that works.

If it's all saves & the problems happened after installing DarnUI, try uninstalling that & see what happens.

Don't forget that when you used DarnUI, changes were made to your .ini so you should reverse those or delete the .ini & let Fallout 3 create it anew. This might not get remade when you reinstall so do it by hand.

The FALLOUT.ini is in:

Documents\My Games\Fallout3

If still no luck, start a new game & try loading the old saves from within that instead of from the main sreen.

Hope this helps!
