AngelOfIron
So I don't know if this is possible, but if it is and somebody knows how to make it happen, then I will actually pay you the amount required to get the Slingshot DLC. The idea is simple: Instead of having the game suddenly thrust you into the DLC's storyline as soon as you're asked if you want to play it or not, the game would continue on as normal. The events of the DLC wouldn't trigger until after the player first encounters a Battleship, win or lose. This way even if the player fails to shoot it down and / or siege it, they're still almost guaranteed Fusion Launcher tech once the events of Slingshot begin to unfold. See where I'm going with this? It makes the game realistically longer.
ganeedi
I would be happy with a manual way to trigger the Slingshot DLC to start! That would help the countless people that dont accept the first Slingshot mission early on in the first month. (Because if you dont accept the first mission early on <or click the random Council mission instead> you never get the option to start the DLC again.) Is there a developer shell command or something to initiate the first Slingshot mission? Anyone know?
ElementUK
I get very annoyed at just how quickly the Slinshot mission comes along. It's as if the makers fully expect you to have a fully survived and promoted team by that time. Might be right on Normal and even Classic without Ironman mode, but as soon as you go 'Ironman Classic', the game does in fact seem to increase in difficulty. Trying to complete Sling shot with Squaddies on Classic is a joke.
