DSHammer
Hi, a major issue I had with Fallout 3 (and TES series in general, IIRC), is the savegame feature, which doesnt differentiate between being in combat and being out of combat. I generally dislike this mechanism because it encourages high-risk gameplay with frequent deaths and frequent reloads. I liked the Mass Effect mechanism (and Bioware games in general) where you could only save if you were not in combat. However, my all-time favourite save mechanism was used in Diablo II. It resulted in death being seldom but meaningful. Basically, my questions regarding Fallout 3 modification are then: 1. Is it feasible to write a mod which prevents you from saving the game based on certain conditions (like being in combat, maybe defined based on the last time you were hit or did hit someone) 2. Alternatively, would it be possible to place "savegame portals" in the world where you would automatically be resurrected after death, possibly with a penalty, and remove the savegame function altogether?
