lvlingownag
WEll yes, thats it. I need a program that can extract the fallout 3 data files. BSACMD does NOT work for me, i just get a message saying, "Loading FAILED." I have been using the extracter in OBMM for the moment, but i cant get textures. everything else extracts, just not textures. i get a message saying "exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown. Now, don't say I'm of of space on my Hard drive, i have ova 100 gig free. any explanations? or just a program that will open up the textures archive so i can extract it? deliverance6
"... the game has .bsa files that are the same as the ones used in Oblivion. The version number is 0x68, as opposed to 0x67 for Oblivion. To open them with BSA Commander you have to do the following: - Backup the original .bsa file- Open it in a hex editor- Change byte 5 from 68 to 67- Save and open in BSA Commander This will allow you to extract the textures, nifs etc. " quoted off the main page. make sure you've changed the right byte with you're hex editor. otherwise you'll get a loading failed spam. oh and only do this to a COPY of you're textures.bsa, do not do it to the original. **additional**i couldnt use the BSA commander for my textures.bsa, it just wrote blank files. while OBMM did work for it but not for any of the others. the other option is the "FO3_Archive_Utility". you'll have to goggle it but its alittle java based prog that seems to work without hex editing
