Suucat
Hello, wondering if someone could help me, im currently on the quest Scientific Pursuits, now im playing as a redheaded child (love the mods), but when i finish that quest and get out of the tranquility lounger (hope this is not a spoiler), my character is changed to a default adult, so i change back to a kid via the console but then my perks are not active anymore and my stats are reset as well, so i have some questions, is there a way to prevent this?, can i just skip the quest at all using the console?, i searched for a few commands to do this but it doesnt work, am i missing a parameter or something? is it because Scientific Pursuits is part of the main quest? Thanks in advance.
Purr4me
your up against a game bug, children can't operate some switches like the broadcast towers and such. Certain things a child can not do, the game will adjust for this. you need Cotw installed an a few other mods to over come most of these bugs. consoling overriding the main game functions in the middle of a quest stage pretty much ruined the game, use a save just before the TL quest and don't change it, finish the quest as an adult then when Broken steel kicks in, Now you can revert to child hood perks. others can chime in here as that's the basics, I am quite sure there is more I am leaving out. Many thing you will find a child can not operate in the game, and it's all through most mods as they are taken from the main files as a source material / coding. I don't know of any other way to put it. if your under age here on this site, your not allowed to be here, your not an adult. this premise is built into the game see? kitty. Purr4me
Hmm so i stop doing the main quest and go do the Broken Steel quests first? Im sorry, i dont quite understand what you said...no you finish the main quest from where the game resets you as an adult because what ever you did to cause your player to act as a child is too soon for the games lay out, the perk you said you are using is Violating the games structure, TL quest stages on exit loaded you as an adult, but you claimed you entered the sim as a child, the sim loads you as a child in the first place. Never as an adult unless you use a custom made mod that does not allow this to occur. once the main quest is finished, broken steel kicks in to allow continued play, then more perks become available from the DLC's. from what I understand here, you are playing the game as a child from the start on exiting the vault 101? is that not so? awesomelad777
If your having bugs like that then it's all in the save. The bug you have will be embedded in your save game file
