yojeff
I'm working on the player home in Megaton, which is full of stuff. I'm wondering if it'd possible to click on a XMarker and select all the objects that have that marker as the Enable Parent?
xenaclone
No idea. Nobody's ever here, except me, and I'm not very experienced. We're apparently on our own, yojeff. Best thing to do is try searching the GECK wiki of course, or read old posts in this Nexus forum we're in now, or this one to learn stuff. Or simply experiment. One thing I've learned over the past few years is even the most experienced modders sometimes resort to experimentation, because honestly, the wikis don't always explain everything 100%. Despite this, I've been able to accomplish quite a few projects in Fallout 3. I recently enhanced the crime system in my Megaton, for instance, including a jail and options to pay money or resist arrest (similar to how Elder Scrolls games work, but also different in some ways). Mostly I am able to make stuff happen (sometimes) through the GECK due to stubbornness. I get some wacky idea and have to make it happen somehow, even if it takes months. Your question seems like an easy one. Somebody who's been at it for years would definitely know the answer. yojeff
Thanks for the answer. Yes, it's difficult to get the Geck to do what we want, but I really like Fallout 3 and building different things in the world. As for my problem, I saw that, while I can't select the "children" of my markers, I can type shift + 1 twice, and the chilren will disappear, which is just as good. I hope you'll have fun in your modding projects!
