Your question is a little disjoint. You deleted Oblivion, but you still play it, and you downloaded mods to put into a game you no longer have?

If you can play it, it is still there. and if you can play it, the oblivion\data folder that you put mods in must be there for Oblivion to work. So I am assuming that you either cannot find the oblivion\data folder or you are looking for the textures and Meshes folders that go there.

To find the data folder, if you installed in the default location look in C:\program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\data

As for the textures and meshes folders, they do not exist in the vanilla game. if you copy the data folder from your mod into the game data folder (Oblivion\data) they should automatically be created and the contents placed in them. Or, you can create the folders manually - Oblivion\data\meshes and Oblivion\data\textures.

Hope this helps

Don't worry, nobody is mad.

I think you have the wrong Oblivion folder. For some reason, Bethsoft puts the oblivion files in two separate places and uses the same folder names for some of them.

If you use the default install, the game is located in C:\Program files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion

This is the one with the data folder. It will be in C:\Program files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\data

This is where your mods go.

The saves and Oblivion.ini are located in C:\Documents and settings\user name\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion

In this one you will find a folder named saves. and a file named oblivion, ini

The oblivion.ini is where it keeps the game settings, such as video resolution, sound volume settings and about 150 other settings that you will only see if you get into advanced tweaking of your game. It is a good idea to make a backup copy of the oblivion.ini after you get the game looking like you want it. make the copy and give it a name like save_Oblivion.ini. Then if you ever loose it you can copy it back from your saved version.
