crabGoblin Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Most of the robes over armor mods that I have seen have been accomplished by assigning items to the tail slot. However, this seems to cause more problems than it solves, with skin clipping and the 'naked monk syndrome'. Would it be possible to, instead of adding it to the tail, create an additional biped object (for example, OuterBody) that could be used? Is this possible to do, and if so, how would you go about doing it? I couldn't find a way myself, but I am not very experienced in more advanced modding. Thank you.
bben46 Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Currently not doable. The number of available equipment slots is seemingly hardwired into the game. The tail slot is used because many bodies do not have a tail leaving that one free.
thebigba Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 The teeth slot is doable , Though I don't know how much more efficient it would be over the tail slot. Do you need to see the teeth? lol

The teeth slot is doable , Though I don't know how much more efficient it would be over the tail slot. Do you need to see the teeth? lolI don't know of any 'teeth' slot available. Maybe I don't know what you're talking about...

I remember reading it somewhere, If I remember where I was reading it, someone instead of using the amulet slot or the tail slot had used the teeth ( or was it tongue?) im not sure but it solved a problem they were having. and dont worry half the time even I dont know what I am talking about :-) if i come across that again ill point you to it might help solve the clipping who knows.
crabGoblin Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 What makes me wonder is why all the NPCs unequip their robe if it is set to 'tail'. How has this been worked around before?

And if I remember correctly, it was a race specific item, not an equipped item since equipped items cannot be worn on unavailable slots. As for NPCs removing the item, the only way to fix that is with scripting that forces them to wear the item. No alternative has worked particularly well.
