Possible to dynamically change landscpae textures?

Is it possible to change the landscape textures with a script?

 

 

To make something like snow on the ground during winter and regular grass during summertime ....

1. You can make small differences by using decal textures and objects that won't get included in Precombined Meshes

 

2. Script changing the landscape textures: No

 

3. Changing the LOD via script: No

I thought so ...

i guess that's why a mod that added snow in the winter hasn't been done yet ...
