Help creating a new/unique weapon,

Astorius

Recommended Posts

uhm, thx for that, but now in geck i get the error message that the nif version is too old and cannot be opened. ingame nothing happens too :-/

thx for your patience with me, i´m a little bit confused as long as every replacement nif worked without any problems before and now as i want to create a new weapon (that seems to work for everybody exept me :P ) nothing goes right. what did i do wrong in my nif, and why do i get a too old error with your nif?

well, i feel a little bit dumb, as long as i think that a lot of people here have already a lot of knowledge from editing oblivion...gives me a feeling of breaking at an absolutely noob-point :P

i did everything again now but just used shorted and equal names....created a new esp and....it somehow works half way ow :-/ .

the geck shows me an id that ingame does not work, but if i place the gun somewhere in the area i can find and pick it up now.

so the question now is how the hell can i find out the correct id so i can test it ingame mor comfortable instead of always picking it somewhere up? :E

this is osmthing i honestly don't know sorry buddy. back in the days of Oblivion the CS didnt have this problem of breaking item ID's. so far it happens alot in F3 and sadly afaik there isnt a fix for it yet.

so looks like a case of making the thing buyable from merchants or using containers

@Lord_Nighthawk

i downloaded your 'perforator minigun' mod, checked the ID which is 01000ea7

ran the game, with that mod at number 3 on my FOMM list

typed in: player.additem 03000ea7 1

and it works...

btw, it looks awesome :)

on topic:

you will need nifskope, niftools, blender or max, photoshop or equivalent, GECK, and lots of imagination, creativity, and willpower :)
