Slowhand02 Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 I've noticed a weird phenomenon in regard to Lucky's Shades (+1 LK) and the bandana (+1 PE). Whenever my NPCs are equipped with these items and I activate then close the trade inventory window, their LK and PE values increase by one point. The first time I noticed it was when Clover and Mika the Sniper took down a Super Mutant Behemoth at long range merely using ChiCom Assault and Sniper rifles. Curious, I inspected their stats and found they both had LK and PE values of 13! I'd cheated the shades and bandana into their gear and, after a bit of experimenting, found that they increased the corresponding stat levels once per inventory access. I've now resorted to de-equipping those items upon entering the trade screen, closing the window and equipping them anew afterwards. I don't know if this is caused by a mod glitch or conflict, although I'm almost certain it's not an issue in the vanilla version of the game. Slowhand02 Posted January 3, 2009 Author Share Posted January 3, 2009 I know, Zumbs. But I momentarily have 39 mods installed, so it's an almost hopeless undertaking tracking down the culprit. Besides, I'm having so much fun with the add-ons that I'm perfectly happy to just live with it using my workaround. ar13 Posted January 3, 2009 Share Posted January 3, 2009 Slowhand, I checked this and you are right. This happens in a completely unmodded game as well, I just tested with Paladin Cross. I gave her a baseball cap, and every time I traded with her, her PER went up by one. Bethsoft's bug. Looks like they don't remove the effect at the start of the trade session. My apologies to the modders for assuming one of their plug-ins was causing the prob. BTW, ar13, I'm a big fan of your excellent "Mika" mod.
