My only crashes have been mod related also.

If you are experiencing something the majority are not it is best to look at your own system, not necessarily the software makers. So look around for tips on how to sort out your machine starting with defrags, driver updates, windows updates and going all the way to hardware updates.

Good luck.

I think its the mods, i only have like 50 or so mods installed, and oblivion, well, i think mmm and ooo hate each other, they are random crashes, i thought maybe it was the weather patterns, since the crashes happen at any given time, the crashes happen in oblivion anytime between 2 minutes to 10 minutes thus i stopped playig oblivion until i can get that resolved, i have ooo 3.2 and mmm 3.1 instaled, im afraid of ooo 3.3, or 3.4 beta, thinking it will make things worse, as far as fallout 3, its pretty good if i only stick to companion mods, and radio station mods, and weapon addons.

I dont use mods, have a quad core q6600, 2gb ram, nvidia 8800gt etc and sadly i have been having 3 or 4 crashes every night, after reading dozens and dozens of forums, it looks like almost everyone with a quad core has the same issues as me... have made all the changes made by others in the fallout.ini,

i.e

setting down to 1core

lowered graphics quality (not happy)

running in 680x480 windowed (notnot happy)

page file to 18000000

making changes to fddshow

unticking water qaultiy settings..

turning antialiasing and the other anti...right down

deleted and reinstalled game more crashes, did settings again, less crashes but still constant

really not happy to have made all the downgrading of quality and screen size on a game i had been waiting on playing for a long long time....very disheartended

but at least with these settings i am at least able to get an hour or so of game time before i CTD......and need to restart......at least i manual save a lot to ensure the vrashes dont ruin the whole gaming pleasure....

i do have a friend with a dual core and his doesnt crash as often as mine..

sigh....

That's very strange. My rig is quad core with Vista 64 and all the bells and whistles going and again, my only crashes have been mod related.

Have you not found any other advice, driver updates perhaps?
