Flamethrower question

I always feel the flame thrower is a bit too short ranged and wish it had a bit more reach to it. So, is there a way to extend the range of the Flame thrower through GECK? Or any way at all?

I'm not sure on this, but... there's two possible ways in my mind.

 

In the "Object Window"... Items -> Weapon -> Weapons -> TwoHandedHandle -> weapflamer

 

Then in the "game data" tab, change the "Reach" of the weapon from 1... to whatever.

 

OR, in the same place change the max range to something way higher than 650.

on the custom weapon i've made i've changed all of the modifers which would one would normally think would be assosiated with range up past the minimum and maximum ranges of the sniper rifle... and it still shares the same range as the standard flame thrower.

 

and the 'reach' and i have seen no change with modifing the reach of the gun. exspecially when most all other weapons have a range of 0 or 1... i don't know if having a reach of 10 makes any diffrence...

Well it's just a suggestion, and of course they wouldn't have a reach because there's no other weapons that shoot flames. I suggest you try it if you haven't.

 

Though, if that doesn't work then you'd probably have to manually edit the flames somehow and make them shoot farther.
