ZippyLemon
title says it pretty much. I want to use SGO but I loathe the stupid beige dress female couriers are stuck with with the vanilla meshes. PSO includes a fantastic set of meshes and textures for the female version, and I want SGO to use that. Problem is, PSO's outfit uses a different ID than the base caravaneer outfit, so loading PSO before SGO, while putting the good version in the game, doesn't cause SGO to give it to the player as far as I (much beginner) can tell, SGO uses a bunch of leveled lists to determine what gets given out. The one for garments looks like this. I figured OutfitRepublican01 "Caravaneer Outfit" [ARMO:000EF1CB] was referring to the base game caravaneer outfit with its stupid female version, and if I swapped that out for the PSO outfit reference and loaded PSO before SGO, SGO would grab the PSO outfit instead but otherwise work normally. Sadly, this happens when I try to do that, so I can't even test it out, and I have no idea what the error message means or if this is the right way to go about effecting what I want I've tried making a merged patch of the two mods and loading them PSO->SGO->merged patch but that didn't do anything if anybody could shed some light on this I'd be really grateful. It's been a long time I've been interested in making mods for these games and I'm just getting started :)
ZippyLemon
well never mind I managed to do it! I copied both esp's into my data folder, opened them up in Geck with SGO as the active file, and altered the leveled item to grab the PSO outfit instead of the base game one. Deleted the PSO esp and pasted , the altered SGO esp into my MO2 SGO folder. Put PSO before SGO in my load order et voila!
