MagicalHob0
I am switching to a new PC in a month or 2.. and would like to know if this is safe..To move saves that I have now that has mods on it.. Will I just need to redownload the mods i Have on to the new PC? Will this be safe?
LargeStyle
Yes that should be ok! In fact it would be better to ensure that you use a savegame file that does contain your mod data, because if you make and clean (unmodded) save on your old pc then load that save into a modded Skyrim then you'll probably lose mod items / progress. Jaradin
So long as all of the mods you use are redownloaded, reinstalled and in their proper load order, you'll be fine. If it doesn't work it's because you're missing something.
starfire42
I've found Wrye bash/smash incredibly useful for finding out what mods a particular save file needs. It'll even enable and order the proper ones for you (assuming they're already installed, of course)
unuroboros
Only problem is if you "re download" you could end up downloading newer versions, which require clean saves in order to be updated. The only really safe way to do this is back up everything, including your currently installed mods.
