thanateros
uh have you even played the main quest or at least the first several of em because it's spelled out as clear as day (not to slam you). you could also try finding books about them in game, that's another really fun way to roleplay this game is if you want to know something chances are there is a book written about it. :P again sorry if i sound like a jerk. Sirr
I have a new question concerning the 6th House... Is there any purpose for the 6th house Hammers and the Bells? 6th House Amulets? They're worth some gold, but is that all? Is Corpuscus (sp?) meat hunk pieces just another ingredient? I came across a couple of doors in a 6th House cave on an island east of Sedya Neen on my way towards Vivec that weren't locked, but wouldn't open... Was it a glitch or did I activate something? Was that what the bells do? And other non-related questions: Is soul-trapping worth it? Do you need a high level in a magic school (ench, alt, etc..) to do it, even with a scroll? Does Mark only mark the last place you used it for a quick Recall back to that place, or can you mark multiple places? (I have it but haven't been able to sucessfully use the spell yet... ) I know this is alot of questions and only half are related to the post subject, but I've been playing for a week or two and just found these forums. I really like the game, but the tutorial should have been a little longer and the instruction manual was vague at best... Thanks all...
SothThe69th
Hoo boy, you're gonna owe me some big money for this one :P Is there any purpose for the 6th house Hammers and the Bells? 6th House Amulets? They're worth some gold, but is that all? The bells and hammers are there for atmosphere, nothing more (at least insofar as I've seen.). The amulets as well, though if you kill Dagoth Ur's Lackeys you can weaken him, which helps immensely in the last fight. Is Corpuscus (sp?) meat hunk pieces just another ingredient? Yes, Corpus meat hunks are just another alchemy ingredient (Alchemy isn't my forte, so I can't say with certainty what you can do with them.). I came across a couple of doors in a 6th House cave on an island east of Sedya Neen on my way towards Vivec that weren't locked, but wouldn't open... Was it a glitch or did I activate something? Was that what the bells do? All will be revealed later in the quest. And no, the bells do nothing. Is soul-trapping worth it? Do you need a high level in a magic school (ench, alt, etc..) to do it, even with a scroll? Aside from being an excellent source of cash, you can also enchant with soul gems, (or simply pay an enchanter at the mages guild to do it for you.), which, of course, lets you pick and choose exactly what you want. You don't need a high level to soul trap things, but you do need a rather high one to enchant your own stuff with a consistent rate of success. Does Mark only mark the last place you used it for a quick Recall back to that place, or can you mark multiple places? (I have it but haven't been able to sucessfully use the spell yet... ) Your first assumption is correct, however, there is a mod (Check the plugins forum to see how to install them.) to let you do multiple marks. I would suggest if you can't cast the spell that you buy scrolls of it, or items enchanted with it. If you think I've been helpful, feel free to shoot me some gold so I can buy Fat Lutes. Sirr
Thanks for the info, but that still leaves me stuck in a cave with no way out (the door I came in through won't open!)... I would drop you some gold, but I have about G19.50 right now...
SothThe69th
Hey, gold is gold, whether its a little or a lot, I appreciate it all the same. Also, you're stuck INSIDE? Have you tried exploring about in there for another way out? Barring that, you can always go into console (hit ~) and type in coc "Seyda Neen"
