Recruiting Modders and Mod Teams

Once again I am seeking someone who can help get some of these quests scripted and with dialogues. As there are still a few which need some work done, and I am the only one on the team currently who can do this sort of thing, I kinda have my hands full. These quests and dialogues must be done before the mod can be released, so time is also a factor. I'm not asking for anything to specialized, just someone who can do simple "get an item, and bring it back to an NPC" kinda things, or something as simple as scripting for an inn. I can do some hand-holding or offer specific direction provided they have MSN messenger, but would ask that they be somewhat familiar with making quests so that I'm not stuck teaching them from square 1.

 

I also still need someone who can do the companion I mentioned above, but this is a secondary concern at this time.

Wow i really love the enthusiasm of everybody is showing towards this project! As Vargant said, we need lots more people as this project in my opinion and in many others BE MORE POPULAR AND MORE FUN (no offence) THAN MIDAS MAGICyes that is what I said :ohmy: so sign up now!!

Midas Magic is a magic mod. This is a mod which is focused entirely on just making a new world to explore. You can't really compare the two, Midas does what it does, we do what we do.

 

At any rate, it's time to put in another recruitment request. As there are only a few more months before I want to release a public beta, I need some more help to replace those who joined in the last 2 months, and did approximately squat. Basically, I need people who can do some of the following.

 

Building Interior work - Place, move, and arrange various pieces of clutter, like beds, containers, ingredients. Interior cells are already defined, they just need someone to make them look less empty.

 

Dungeon work - Build, or fill out dungeon interiors. Must know how to build with ruined fort, Alyied ruin, or cave interior statics (the actual rooms). Spawning, cluttering, or laying of pathgrids is not necessary, but can be useful.

 

Exterior work - Place exterior statics (rocks, buildings, trees, walls, ect) intelligently to make an area look interesting, but not too cluttered. Will start off small, with things like cave exteriors, but can include things like whole town exteriors.

 

Quest work - Ability to write simple scripting, make new dialogues, and create simple quests. If you can make a quest that has the player pick up an item, trigger a journal update upon pickup, and give it to an NPC through dialogues, you should be qualified for most of what is needed. Those with greater ability would certainly be appreciated. Must have MSNMessenger or LiveMessenger for this since realtime communication is rather necessary.

any news? i'd love to see this mod in action, and once i finish a mod i'm working on myself i'll totally help you guys/gals out :)

 

oops, just looked at your sites forums...is the update for April still goin as planned?

just want you to know there is still a bit of interest in this mod :)

No, instead of an April release, which just simply can't happen, and couldn't happen without someone else doing quest and script work, I've had to change plans yet again.

 

instead of trying to fit it around some sort of date, I've just decided that I will be trying to make the next version of the mod, whenever it gets done, be possible for release after the team has played through it and found whatever bugs might exist.

 

At the moment I'm mostly waiting for a large portion of my team to simply show some life. Quite a few people I was hoping to hear from, or even receive any work from, simply havn't said anything to let me know that they are still breathing. So essentially, I'm almost getting the feeling that some of them will need to be replaced, pushing the project back even further. It's not all bad news, I still have a few people who are doing dungeon and interior work, but it's still slightly troubling.

 

I'm still in dire need of someone else who can work on scripts and quests, and will likely need more people who can do interior and dungeon works to replace those who have died.

Please send me an email about what you need done and the mod itself. I am fairly experienced in interior, exterior and landscaping design (depending on what you need). Send me a list of what you need done and a time limit 'cause I have a max. of 2 weeks off.
