CTD when leaving Vault 111 for the first time

Hi Ive been experiencing CTD when leaving Vault 111 for the first time. Any advice would be welcome.

Try disabling/setting shadows down to the lowest setting. I had this issue before and messing with shadow settings fixed it.

Ok will try configuring the shadow setting and see if that's what's going on.

Oh, just remembered. It was shadows and weapon debris. Disable weapon debris in the advanced menu of the regular fallout launcher and that crash should stop.

just set everything to low and most turned off in the advanced settings will test again.

 

**Update***

 

set everything to low and as soon I reach Sanctuary the game freezes now instead of CTD.

So we got the crash fixed from leaving the vault, good.

 

I never used FO4 fps fix mod your have.

 

I use this instead https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/102

 

easiest way to increase fps by lowering ini settings in an easy to control program.

 

You may want to disable any visual mods you have and try again.

**update** so i got the game running again and finished out of time and when freedom calls so apparently i uninstalled FAR mod and reinstalled it with the lower resolution file and it started to work again no CTD or game freezing so yeah that was the main issue hopefully everything will be smooth sailing from here on out thanks for helping me out!

Yeah no problem. next time crashing happens it most likely has to do with a mod. Have fun!
