LOD Trees

This problem is prevalent with many modders. I've seen it asked on the official GECK forum several times but it has not yet receieved a satisfactory answer. I remember reading that someone had success in removing LOD objects by unpacking, changing, and repacking the "Fallout 3 - Meshes.bsa" file but, given that the file is ~700MB, that workaround certainly isn't acceptable for release with mods.

they will have to be unpacked....regenerated and repacked...cant think of any other way..

 

unless...you can regen that cell specifically and put the regenerated objects in a local directory (ie not packed) and hope that it overrides what already in the .bsa

Right click on the cell in cell view, edit, check "hand changed", it's there on the right side of the window. it only worked on a different/new character for me ingame. not the one i've been using to test
