Armor missing from certain Characters... Help!

So, really weird thing happened.

 

I recently decided to install DA:O on my new PC and transfer all my old mods from my laptop to it. After ages of work, the game loaded (just) but all spells and talents on the level up section were gone, so I had to competely re-install.

 

Having done all that again, all mods (Bar 'No friendly fire', it just will not work) are installed, but when I load my game, certain characters including Bann Tegan, Ser Perth, myself, leliana and Murdoc (I'm in Redcliff) are all wondering around in their underwear!

They have their shields/swords and such, but no armor at all!

It's the same on all my saved games, but mages, minor background characters and several others (Includig Morrigan and Alistair) are unaffcted.

What is going on?! As hilarious as it is, I eally wat to fix it without re-installing... again.

Well... As you suspect, the problem is a mod (or a missing one)!

 

You didn't provide a list of the ones you're using (and I don't want one) but the solution is:

1. Remove ALL mods
2. Load a Save and see if that fixes things

3. If "No", (unlikely) then a full un-/re-install is your only option

4. If "Yes", start re-installing mods in small batches (three-four at a time)

5. Load a Save after each batch until the problem re-occurs

6. Roll back the last batch

7. Add the last batch of mods one-at-a-time until you identify the culprit! :thumbsup:

 

Steps after that depend on exactly which mod caused the problem, and how bad you want what it does! :P

Sadly havin uninstalled everything, still got naked guards :(

Sometimes you just need to uninstall, then delete all files & folders left behind, then clean out all registry links...then start over. :(
