MrShukie
Skyrim Special Edition keeps dropping to about 1 fps this seems to happen most often when i'm talking to npcs, especially Delphine, this occurs every time I'm talking to Delphine (at least when in her inn). It also occurs in other places, the ones I remember are, when talking to Inigo, and inside of the Soul Cairn. Fast traveling, leaving the instance, or closing/restarting gets rid of this for a bit and then it happens again. I've tried fixing this by lowering my settings, using a graphics optimizer, and making sure my gpu's drivers are up to date. Nothing has worked. I am assuming this lag is caused by a mod I've loaded up Special Edition without mods and have been unable to replicate it.Pc specs: AMD Ryzen 5 2600, Gtx 1660, 16gb ddr4, fulling updated windows 10, and a 500gb ssd. My temps run below 50 degrees C when playing on ultra settings.Mod list: (I use Vortex and LOOT, and yes skse is installed correctly) 00 Skyrim.esm01 Update.esm02 Dawnguard.esm03 Hearthfires.esm04 Dragonborn.esm05 Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp06 RaceCompatibility.esmExpressive Facegen Morphs.esl07 Destructible Skyrim.esp08 Castle Volkihar Rebuilt.esp09 Valerica_Follower.esp0A SignatureEquipment.espFE001 YOT - Your Own Thoughts.esp0B Andromeda - Unique Standing Stones of Skyrim.esp0C The Great Cities - Minor Cities and Towns.espFE002 DragonCombatDialogue.esp0D Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp0E Guards_Armor_Replacer.esp0F Unique Uniques.esp10Master of Disguise - Special Edition.esp11 Realistic AI Detection 2 SE Lite.esp12 Footprints.esp13 WetandCold.espFE 003YOT - Wet and Cold.esp14 SkyrimSewers.esp15 Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.espsl99marrymeserana.esp16 DSerArcheryGameplayOverhaul.esp17 VioLens SE.esp18 Player Size Adjuster.esp19 CBBE.espinigo.esp1A Sneak Tools.esp1B Sneak Tools Vanilla Hoods.esp1C Sneak Tools Vanilla Masks.esp1D EFFStandCosMenu.esp1E FaceSculptorsRacemenu.esp1F ABT SE - Kevkas All-in-One.esp20 Serana Hood Removal.esp21 GDZZJJDH.esp22 BlackSacramentArmor.esp23 EnhancedAurielsbow.esp24 Bijin NPCs.esp25 AddItemMenuSE.esp26 RaceMenuHH.espFE 004KSHairdosSMP.espFE005 KSWigsSMP.esp27 LustmordVampireArmor.esp28 Racemenu.esp29 RaceMenuPlugin.esp2A RaceMenuMorphsCBBE.esp2B XPMSE.esp2C Bijin Warmaidens.espFE2D Serana.esp2E Valerica.espFe006 Serana - Hair Physics.esp2F Bijin Wives.esp30 Celes Nightingale Armor.esp31 FNIS.esp32 VampireLeatherArmorSet.esp33 Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.espFE007 YOT-Ordinator.esp34 Modern Brawl Bug Fix.espSkyui_SE.espUIExtensions Thank you in advance. vr01
2 things I see that have caused problems for me. A) Hair Physics - can cause major hits on performance.B) SMP ( surface mesh physics ) can also cause major hits on performance. Have personally given up trying to run hair physics It just causes too many problems on my older Dell. Can run SMP on a main character without any noticeable problems. Most other tutorials recommend only running SMP and or Hair Physics on your main character. The game-bro engine can really struggle with the additional physics load added on top of everything else its trying to do. Changing the SMP and Physics related mods to basic static versions would be one path to explore forimproving performance.
MrShukie
Thank you! I disabled my physics mods and stopped getting the lag.
MrShukie
Update: by reinstalling all my physics mods I was able to get rid of the lag but keep the physics. Thanks again, I had been searching for a solution to this for over a week.
