Traveling from Solstein to Skyrim, game freezes

If this topic was posted my apologies for not finding it.

When I attempt to travel back to skyrim from solstein, the game doesn't get past the loading screen. The tooltips keep cycling and the picture is still movable however the game won't load back in. When I check the task bar it shows that skyrim is not responding.

 

Any ideas? Thanks

To add, the only mods I'm using are dova's hideout and rich merchants.

Already disabled them and tried with no luck.

I too am having the same problem, and it's refreshing to know that you only have two mods and it still doesn't load back into Skyrim. I have disabled all mods loading in the launcher, and it made no difference.

 

Do you have any ini tweaks? I'm wondering if it's the ugrids.

No I haven't touched those. I briefly read a couple threads about the ugrids but I didn't proceed to change anything.

Still having the problem.

I've tried talking with the ship captain as well as doing a fast travel from the map, neither are working.

There can't be only two people having or had this problem.

Ok an update. Finally had the first CTD when attempting to load back into skryim.

I had the same problem yesterday. Had to force quit skyrim with the task manager. After restarting everything was fine and i could travel to skyrim again.
