Pitt Roleplay: Clothes for Free Laborers

This is a roleplay question, so there's no right or wrong.

My characters are going side with Ashur in the Pitt, but not before scourging the ranks of the Pitt Raiders. Since they will be using their immense wealth to help rebuild the Pitt, and functionally become the bother and sister behind Ashur, the clothes and treatment of the 'slaves' will not do. Now, I've got a mod with Marine Armor, with the US Flags for the new Raiders, but I need clothes for the slaves. Good, decent work appropriate clothes for Pittsburgh new, soon to be emancipated working class. So what clothes in vanilla or else where is appropriate for them? I was thinking Iconoclast armor and filtration masks for the scrappers outside, and air conditioned power armor suits for the Mill workers. But maybe there's better things. Maybe the Army grease monkey jumpsuit? What kind of clothes would be appropriate for hardworking, well taken care for Steelers?

Well if they're "rich" as in 'the sky's the limit' rich then power armor'd be appropriate for the mill workers. The wealth could possibly justify how they got hold of enough power armor to fit everyone. The PA training I have to assume Ashur provided.

That being said, I have to wonder if in that case that Ashur would repair his own power armor as well, or whether he wears it in its current condition as a statement of his opposition and dissapointment in the Brotherhood of Steel.

And if that's the case I would assume that he wouldn't want to provide his 'citizens' with or see them wearing something that brings those bitter memories to the forefront of his mind, seeing them there, in person in power armor, daily.

After having played The Pitt over and over again and hearing about Ashur speak of his dissapointment of The BoS Scourging The Pitt instead of rebuilding it and of him obsessed with rebuilding society in The Pitt using almost any means necessary for the benefit of all in the end, I'm left thinking that Ashur believes in "hard work" and that he admires that for what it is.

Once he gets The Pitt in the shape he seems to envision... it seems like it would be more of a Communist Russia-like society than a NCR-like Democratic society.

I would guess that Ashur'd probably outfit them with Iconoclast armor and filtration masks as you said, and probably just give the mill workers shirtless grease monkey jumpsuits (obvisously with T-shirts for the women) and plenty of spare water and hour water breaks... something along those lines of including 'safety standards' for them.

But as far as appearance goes... light jumpsuits seem reasonable and realistic. Especially considering Ashur's principals and beliefs.

OK, I'll go with the army jumpsuits and such.

Although, I don't think Ashur would run the Pitt as a company town. A defacto socialized economy. The Mill would be his. However, the periphery stores, secondary industries and such, that could be privately owned. Just look at Harris' Bar and Grill. It would start out very statist, but growth would require his personal GDP share to decrease sharply.
