The Return of the Dwemer-WIP

I am currently working on this mod and I require some people to help me. Although firstly I will explain what this mod is. You basically meet an ancient dwarven war hero and you help him get back to his people. Now the s&%^ starts to happen (as it always does) the thalmor helped you get him back there but they did not mention why. Turns out they want to destroy the dwemer so they will do everything they can to do that. What you can do is either help them or help the dwemer.


Things this mod will include by the time it is done:


-All of the dungeons and NPCs will be on hardcore difficulty, you will find it hard on novice
-Magic Vs Technology
-New locations (whole new map;oblivion planes;thalmor locations)
-HUGE questline (will involve decision making, other enemies and allies such as the daedra,)
-Your decisions will alter future quests and rewards
-New NPCs (e.g mechanical dragons)
-New armour and weapons (such as a shield that when blocking a power attack will push your enemies away)
-New equipment for you to play with (capes, goggles :night vision, see through walls, heat detection) <-Dwemer side only
-New spells (ethereal chain: pull your enemies to you; techincal difficulty: name in progress but you temporarily disable automatons or weaken them)
-New mounts (mechanical horse, flyable mount too)
-Currently no DLC required but that may be revised
-COMPLETELY STANDALONE (may or may not have incompatibilities)
-Handcrafted dungeons and maps
-Playable race (the dwemer, obviously)

*The textures look much better, just on my PC it doesn't.

 

 


Now people we need:
-Level designers
-Scripters
-Textures and modelers

Voice actors will be needed only once we reach alpha...long way to go.

Any suggestions or ideas are very welcome. Please tell me your thoughts on this.

Yes. This is not Riften, just used its gate, will change though. The lore of this mod follows as such: The dwemer used the heart of lorkhan at red mountain and created a whole new world around the Nirn (it was that powerful) otherwise they would've faced obliteration from the nords. This is the island they are in, Tjiamat Island. You are called by a scientist who has been studying the dwemer a lot and he tells you about a dwemer war hero (the last man standing to hold the nords back enough for his people to retreat), you go through a whole dungeon to find his remains encased very well and he tells you that his soul is in an Oblivion plane, held captive by Mehrunes Dagon. You retrieve his soul and then you release him from the cage he has been in for eras. You take him to the scientist whos life is now in thalmors hands. Yogstrad (the war hero) knows of a device to similar power that of the heart of lorkhan secretly hidden by the dwemer in case of need, (except it can only travel across realms and not create them). The thalmor will guide you to that device but they hold Yogstrad as a prisoner and kill the scientist. After you find the device (3 or so different dungeons to put together the blue prints), you also find a book on activation of this portal. You have to be at sea to activate it. They send you with a squad and you will travel across realms. Once you reach the Tjiamat realm you set camp on the beach. The patrol find a small boy near their camp, they set him in a cage and you are told to report to the captain. You have the option to release the boy and follow him or report to the captain. (the rest of current written storyline is in a powerpoint in more detail)

 

Also the dwemer have a high council, composed of 8 members each of them with their own style of combat and weapons; more special is that each of them have received a special blessing from the divines (e.g immortality) and represent them in a way.

 

This is as much information I can give without spoiling much of the quest line.

Guys, I really want feedback on this. Also ideas: LOTS OF THEM. Please do comment on this, maybe things you would like to see. This is my first mod, so anything I should avoid doing or stuff like that. Any tips or ideas or suggestions, type them all in please.

Oh dude Snow Elves, have to include them somehow, I mean Dwemer were the reason they went extinct, save the one left in Dawnguard, would be nice to see them.

 

Don't judge me I thought they were cool, petty Dwemers were kind of assholes. :D

Well actualy yes the dwemer were douches but here they will talk to you about how they changed and present you perfection. The shadow guild is made of few members each of them different mer race(except dwemer) and all at war with the dwemer. You will have opion to unite them with either side but final battle will definetly not be 1v1..can be up to 1v1v1.most likely 2v1..example:dwemer+shadow guild vs thalmor..many different scenarios...unfortunately iam working by myself on this mod (certain members leave soon) so this will take a while but luckily i have it all planned out. But i will see maybe snow elf slavery
