I'm not expert by any means, (in fact a bit of a nudnick when it comes to how dds files are called onto a player/npc body) just a hack. There is surely a better way but... If you can grab the tats in a form suitable (ie, just the tat, everything else is transparent...in "stensil" form), you can apply them to your own body texture as a permanent feature just by opening the female_body_1.dds file and, presuming the tat has been sized correctly, paste it into a new layer in the female_body_1.dds file, then merge it and save in the original format (Paint dot Net, for instance, handles this natively)

There are also mods like SlaveTats that allow application from a list of tat overlays. Personally, I found doing it by editing my body texture easier *for me*

In terms of taking a known tat from some photo, you can use photo editors to lift a tat from the surrounding skin, but if that isolation tactic isn't something you're familiar with, I'm not sure I can spell it out in a simple recipe. Works best on B&W(ish) tattoos. Basically, you delete (to transparency) everything but the tat. The magic wand, threshold levels, copy paste to new-layer/new-photo, etc are your friends for that. I usually use Paint dot Net for this sort of work, as the delete key on an area (outline an area, hit delete) doesn't drop to background color like in Photoshop, it drops to transparency, which is perfect for creating an overlay. Again, it can be tedious, especially for subtly colored tats and cropping around areas where the contrast is weak (you sometimes have to go down to the pixel level editing to clear skin at transitions between the two). But if you have actual tat templates (tat + transparency) it's just a matter of sizing it for the area you're going to apply it to, copying the tat into a new layer on your body texture, adjusting the tat density (give it an "aged" effect) and then merging it onto the body texture.

Post an image or two. ?
