Crash after ~1 hour

Pastekk

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm here because I dont find any solution on google.

My game crashes after about 1 hour of playing. On Skyrim SE Edition
I have however changed the order of launching with LOOT, patch the game with the FNIS exe etc...

I use a ENB, its https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4796?tab=files

I only have you left to help me. Here is my mod list. I don't know if I can somehow send you a crash log, I don't know how I can get one (apart from those from Papyrus but I understand they were not used for nothing)

Thanks you !

After experiencing many crashes of various types, here are some steps that work for my PC.

I run Vortex, and I manage my 12 Skyrim profiles (different sets of game-saves with different mods, different characters, and with best load orders) by trusting Vortex to sort them. Enable the tool in Vortex that allows you to see older redundant mods that do what your newer mods do. When mods address the same files, some Skyrim crash issues can arise.

So, these steps below are more aimed at your PC, if you use that platform. I do not have any links, but my words may help you search.

1). Try revalidating your Skyrim files by logging onto STEAM and following the steps. You can find an online tutorial that explains how to revalidate your Skyrim files.

2). When starting gameplay of Skyrim logged onto STEAM, try unchecking windowed mode, and set the flash-screen options to your PC’s best video settings. (I play Skyrim with SKSE offline, but my game is more stable if I log into STEAM upon turning on the PC, after letting my firewall update, then I disconnect).

3). Try visiting YouTube to find a video on how to optimize windows 10 for video gameplay. The authors will illustrate how to disable all unnecessary processes. Skyrim is sensitive to background processes, and your issue, since it happens like clockwork, suggests most likely a regular PC process interfering with your Skyrim. This helped me most, disabling all of Windows 10 unnecessary processes. I also reset my firewall service to update only twice a day.

4). The Skyrim Wiki step project also has a lot of details about how to maximize SR stability.

Someone out there may be way more up to date on all this.
