Zorkel
So I was quite bored and digged up new vegas and started out vanilla,Soon I added a few mods not to many. Quite few actually, and now I seem to experience a lot of random crashes. It all began when I popped in EVE - Essential Visual Enhancements, Weapon Mods Expanded - WMX, BEWARE OF GIRL Type 3 HiRez HiDetailed Replacer and Fellout NV.I did a merged patch with fnv-edit sorted my load order with boss, and nothing seemed to really help. Reinstalled new vegas and my current load order is as follows: FalloutNV.esmDeadMoney.esmHonestHearts.esmOldWorldBlues.esmLonesomeRoad.esmGunRunnersArsenal.esmClassicPack.esmMercenaryPack.esmTribalPack.esmCaravanPack.esmDarNifiedUINV.espFour Traits v1.espBR - Traits and Perks.espNV_STTraitsandPerks - NVSE.espArmourRepairKits.espWeaponModsExpanded.espWMX-DeadMoney.espWMX-HonestHearts.espWMX-OldWorldBlues.espWMX-LonesomeRoad.espWMX-GunRunnersArsenal.espFellout.espFellout-OWB.espfriendofnightforfellout.espMaster patch.esp This includes BEWARE_OF_GIRL_Type_3_HiRez_HiDetailed_Replacer_2_0 All installed with NMM I also have NVSE installed in my game folder. I have no real clue why new vegas crash so often.I also run windows
Rezubi
Try using mission mojave or the unofficial patches, also fellout could cause that depending on when it crashes.
AKcelsior
For the record my game is extremely stable without ever having used Mission Mojave or any other patch of that sort (but every system and game is slightly different). I crashed randomly all the time until I started running the game in fake fullscreen windowed mode. Since then I have experienced only a handful of crashes in years of modding this title. Your mod list is very light, the only mods I don't use are the body replacer and whatever those perk mods are you use so I'm not sensing a mod conflict outside of those. Fake fullscreen, 4gb exe (if it's still applicable), and Stutter remover should be tested out. Do yourself a huge favor and follow the suggestions in this video, it helped me out tons in the past. Zorkel
I have tried 4gb enabler, fake fullscreen enabler Didn't quite try the stutter remover as I didn't quite feel the need for it.It somehow seems to me I have issues with textures not being present and fellout might be a cause of it. But not quite sure on fellout. Will make a complete new reinstall and skip fellout this time and see if thats better. Oh forgot I also use NMCs Texture pack for New Vegas LARGE-43135-1-0But doubt that the issue since that was the very first mod I installed together with the traits one.And the traits one should not be a conflicting issue since the problems came after Eve,WMX and Fellout. Will watch this movie as well and see what it will have to say. :)And update this post after thats done. Thanks :)
AKcelsior
I don't know your system specs but I always recommend a smaller version of NMCs textures just because the visual difference is very minor. Even the smaller NMCs textures have been known to crash peoples games as new data is stored in ram. Sometimes it's not the "straw that broke the camel's back" that actually breaks the back. It may simply be that you are running out of resources while playing in which case it wouldn't be the fault of any 1 mod but a problem with the combination of mods. They may not conflict but each mod loaded is going to eat away at your pcs budget. So yeah, I would first start downloading the files for a smaller NMC pack and while you wait for those to complete I would also backup and then remove fallout.ini and falloutprefs.ini from your mydocuments/games/newvegas folder. This is so the game can create new ini files on next startup. If you had previously modified them then there is a substantial chance one of your tweaked inis doesn't agree with your mods. Make sure you have all overlays (steam, fraps, etc) disabled. If you have any custom display driver settings for this game they should also be removed.Take a look at your saved games folder. Are the file sizes >20mb or so?Did you install a mod on this character then remove the mod at a later date on the same character? You said it started after you installed EVE, but I don't see any EVE files in your load. Also make sure you have all the required compatibility patches from the EVE and WMX pages. Zorkel
Akkalat I installed eve, wmx and fellout at the same time. And before I posted here I reinstalled and didn't install eve again. But one of those mods seem to have done it, but I did watch the gopher vid posted here and don't ask me what happend but it works stable now.And as for computer I would say my rig is in the upper range of systems. I can run most games with full settings a few is exempt thought, crysis3 and witcher 2 will not run very well with dynamic shadows and such set to max.But otherwise I have no problems really gamewise. Save file size wise is around 1700-2800KBBut thanks for the insight and help very much apreciated. Will see this thread as closed as the game seems quite stable with a far heavier load mod wise. :) System spec: Operating System: Windows 8 Pro with Media Center 64-bit (6.2, Build 9200) (9200.win8_gdr.130108-1504)Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 945 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHzMemory: 8192MB RAMAvailable OS Memory: 8154MB RAMPage File: 2125MB used, 7244MB availableDirectX Version: DirectX 11Card name: ATI Radeon HD 5700 SeriesDisplay Memory: 4833 MBDedicated Memory: 1012 MBShared Memory: 3820 MBCurrent Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)
