I've used VLC for years. It's a very solid media player that works out-of-the-box better than anything else in my opinion, and I've used many. It's given me only a few problems now and then that could be resolved with a little work.

Recently, I've switched to using MPC-HC, tweaked to the max (well, the max that I know of), and it gives a superior picture, but you have to work for it (installing extra codecs, etc).

I use VLC for just about every vid and DVD I come across. I also use fastone image veiwer for pictures. Both are free and they work with just about anything out there.

Been using VLC for years.

I use it for all the things that the Windows Media Player can't play.

(i.e. half my legitimate DVDs that are from other regions. And even some from my own region that won't play.) Talk about being punished for paying >.>

I love VLC. Basic, no regions to sod about with. Perfect.

As many others, I've been using it for years. Good program.

the good thing is, you can also convert videos and audio files into many various formats with VLC. other expensive audio/video programs no longer needed!
