I finally got around to doing Dead Money after a reinstall of the game.But when I go to the bunker I am told I need a key.When I use console to unlock the grate I can go down there and I get all the right messages but the DLC does not start! I am usually playing with Steam off-line. Went on line today and it downloaded some 110 Gs of updates. Don't know if that can interfere.My DLC is a Steam download and It has worked before so?? My character is a lvl 29 with most of the quests done. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Xaranth Posted March 10, 2013 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Hi Bernt. :smile: Start by making sure that Dead Money is actually enabled. First double-check that it's ticked in the launcher, and once you get into the game use 'GetModIndex "DeadMoney.esm"' in the console. If it returns 'FF', then the Dead Money plugin isn't loading for some reason. The next step either way is to have Steam verify the local game cache. If it comes up with one broken file, don't fret, if more, let it do its thing. After that, either enable dead money in the launcher, or disable it, delete the DeadMoney.nam file from the data directory, start the game, load your save, make a fresh save, then exit, enable dead money, and load the save again.
