Lootable Cars

So i'm making a mod that lets you loot bits and pieces from cars. no visual change, just makes it an explodable container. Ive got the container and exploding bit working, so no tutorials needed :P. However, I was wondering if there was a way to "mass-replace" an object in the GECK with another, or do I have to go through each cell its used in manually and change it? Coz in this case, it could take a while... there are ALOT of cars around the place, something like 450 uses of a single type of car. Thanks in advance for any advice.
