removing all decals from tesla armor

ok so i wanted to get started on a warhammer 40k texture for power armor

 

at first i was going to chose the t51 b but the shoulder plates arent big enough so the next best candidate is the tesla armor

 

the chest of course wouldnt really bear the eagle decal well but i guess it just wont be on there but will be replaced with a clever decal that fits

 

so ill get right to the point

 

anyone know of a a guide on how to remove the decals from tesla armor like the glowing orbs and the numerous wires running on the surface...im not much of a modeler

 

 

or if there is a version like that already i can use as a clean slate if any of you could tell me about it

 

 

 

and my other question

 

what would i have to do to wack off the gaint shoulder plates of the tesla armor and the arm armor and move it to the t51b

 

forgive me but my knowledge on anything other than scripting or textures is limited
