Just wanted to share a few screenshots of the difference in behaviour of the character's hair between using the .egm and "hat" biped option and when not using it. It's generally a tradeoff between the item looking good and doing what I want - if I use the conformed hair, which gives the best aesthetic quality I'll sacrifce modularity as the mask then cannot be worn with a helmet. On the other hand, if I pick the option that allows the player full modularity with headgear it won't look as good and cause clipping issues on some hairstyles. Meh, maybe I'll just release two versions and people can pick the one they like best.

Fallen Angel Non-conforming, ie. not using the hat biped:

The non-conforming ones look great and i think work as a whole.

Small update. Almost done doing the diffuse textures, however I haven't checked them in-game yet, only in the GECK (as I'll just keep working rather than go to bed if I fire it up :P ):

Strap retainer detail (I can't really speak Chinese, so it's just translated by a web-translator. Hopefully it correctly states the product name, company and year of production and rather than tell the reader to go blow himself :D :

Why is it in Chinese (Protect Gear is from Japan)?

I've taken a bit of "artistic" liberty with the IP and decided to use Chinese for the text on the item, as it's easier to create a backstory for it and the reason it's in the Fallout wasteland (that is if it's Chinese rather than Japanese) - there's already a Chinese remnant in Fallout 3, so rather than make up a lame excuse for high grade Japanese military tech being present, I figured it would fit better to make it Chinese. The company name I have "made up" is Nippon-Tec, which, if I'm not mistaken, would translate to Japan-Tech - so while the mask itself is produced in China, the company behind it is Japanese. ;)

Nope, helmet is still going to be in the release, at least in the non-conform version of the mask. I'm going to look into how you can use meshes as "armour addons" in the GECK as well, and if possible, make an alternate .esp with the conforming mask which includes the mask as a separate item and as part of the helmet, but that'll be for a later release.
