would you add something like "laser vision" from this mod

(its called "laser vision" in that mod, but it simply makes screen red :)

and yes, the link is correct, it turns on when you equip the rifle)

Well I was thinking about asking for permission to use the FOSE enhanced Night Vision script and tint it red, but I think I'll leave that feature out of the initial release as that'd require I get into scripting as well. It's good idea though, definitely something I'll look into later.

As for my progress on the textures, the basic diffuse is finished and the Normals to go with it are done. I've added a little detail on the "breathing apparatus" at the front compared to my source material because I think it looked a little bland without anything but surface Normal mapping, but nothing extraordinary. Now I just need to fix up textures with some scratches, dents and chipped paint and make normals for that and then make a decent specular map. Anyway, here's how it looks in its current stage:

:D I made a sprite game with this mask. Metal Slug right? Man, and i asked about it D:

No idea, never heard about Metal Slug before.

The design is based off of Protect Gear used in the Kerberos Saga written by Mamoru Oshii, so any likeness to any other IP is purely co-incidental.

Well, I've had a look at the mod you linked, and it does exactly what's needed so I've asked the creator for permission to use his script for my mod. Nice find though, there's no need to re-invent the wheel when you can ask for help/permission from other modders. :)

Well it looks perfect if the material of the mask was supposed to be metal, but it's not - at least not in this version. :P

Carbon Fiber Polymers do not look like that when weathered and damaged, however it's definitely something worth doing for an alternate version.
