Dual Weapons

Hello everyone,

 

I thought that it would be awsome to have Dual weapons but I have absolutely no experience with animations and I think that would be needed for this.

 

So since I don't know how to do it I ask if anyone knows:

 

1. Is it possible?

2. If "How to?"

3. Is something like it in work?

i am also wondering about this. I would love to have Dual Desert Eagles!

 

 

I don't think it's possible yet without creating new anims. You could possibly use a dual model for it, but then you'd have one gun floating in mid-air. Bethesda seems to really dislike reckless people dual-wielding :(

I see I'm not alone with the need for duals.

 

Does anyone know how far the progress on figuring out how to insert new animations is.

 

If its possible yet would anyone be able to make one please.

But if its to much to ask for, I guess I'll have to start learning how to make Animations for myself.

a good starting base is the Melee/fist animations. since that has both things on screen at the same time. its really a case of duplicating the 1hand pistol bone structure and managing to get the game engine to realise that theres 2 things instead of 1. which is.. y'no, a real problem lol. ive been playing with this on and off for days and no luck on any fronts

I dont really want dual weilding fire arms, as much as I think it would be cool to have a gun on your main hand, and a melee weap in your off hand, perhaps right click would activate the melee weap meaning you would have to sacrifice ironsights, but pistol+shishkebob would be pree badass if you ask me.

 

but dual weilding pistols would be cool, I picture a raider with a pair of sawed of shottys ambushing you and taking you down in full power armour xD,

 

dual weilding melee weaps alone would be cool to, not exactly easy, but a pair of combat knives would be badasscore, and perhaps a garbage can lid sheild could be implented xD

 

anyways, yeh dual weilding would be pree cool.

You need to make the animation and add a rig for connecting the weapon to the left hand and other hip. You would need a whole new set for fire, idle, swap, etc. Quite a bit of grunt work but not at all difficult for an experienced animator. On the weapon side you would need a left/right weapon slot though. Maybe you could use one of the extra clothing slots and use the glove/knuckle rig, i dunno I can't do meshes and animation for fo3 because I'm a LW user. Otherwise I'd have made gobs of stuff already (like an fo2 enclave power armor and fo2 weapons for starters)... I guess I could stop going outside and skip meals for a few years and learn blenders psychotic interface being free and everything...

 

And if you're doing melee then why not do pistols too? I know I'd like to have the option to whip out a flurry of 44mag shots in a gunfight.

I've spend some time trying to figure out how to do this and its way over my head. :wacko:

I guess this sould be done by the experienced Modders.

If its not done when I got more experience with animations and the nif-files I will return to this .

 

But really thanks for all your replys.

 

And deliverance6 the nif file already looks good you sould ask around if someone can make a animation for it.
