VATS Target overlay

Basically, I am trying to find ANYTHING in the GECK that relates to the green overlay that you see on Creatures/People when using VATS. I have searched through the files as many times as I could be bothered and found absolutely nothing. I'm starting to think that most of the VATS system is programmed into the base game files and not accessible through the GECK.

What I would like to do is create some sort of 'Life Detection goggles' that, whilst being worn, highlight any creatures within a 75 - 100 meter radius with the VATS overlay. Of course, these sound rather over powered and rather poorly balanced but if I can get the main bit to work I can worry about that later. Its just right now this is seeming rather difficult, if not impossible.

If anyone has any ideas or blinding insights into this, then please do post your ideas, even if you think I might have already tried it. ANY help at all is welcomed with open arms :)

I don't know about making fancy graphics for it. But you basically want to point out threats just like the compass does, with range being based on your perception. There *may* be some scripting commands that will return the threats and therefore could be used to indicate something... maybe.

Not really worth the effort imo, the radar works fine or you can just go into VATS and cycle targets.

I'd actually prefer this to the radar system in game right now ... may only be me but the game system gets me shot more often then not as i try to find the target and vats doesn't always target them for some reason (probably blockage for you but not the folks shooting you).

Awesome, huh? Not quite as awesome as it would first seem...

Basically, what I have done here is entered the console, clicked on the fridge, then typed "HighlightBodyPart" Without the quotes of course. At first I thought this could be what I was looking for, until I realised that it has some major problems.

First of all, it makes your weapon invisible... Does anyone know if there is a command to Show/Hide the weapon?

Second, you can only have one target at a time, it can quite literally be ANYTHING though, even buildings

Third, the only way to Un-target something is to either enter VATS or select another target using the command (As far as i know)

@ jsnider - I also think this would be a lot more useful than the compass or using VATS to find enemies. Quite often I have found myself struggling to find an enemy that my compass says is there. Also, if this system ever works, you would know what is around the corner instead of getting all psyched up for a Radroach :P
